Based on An-Noor School’s top-ranking in Ontario in the Fraser Institute’s report card on school performance.

Operating on annual school budget of less than $500,000, the private school scored a perfect 10 in the 2014 rankings to share the top spot in the province with 15 other schools.

In contrast, Our Lady of Lourdes of the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board was given a zero in the rankings while Greater Essex County District School Board’s J.E. Benson and General Brock fared only slightly better with scores of 1.5 apiece.

The rankings are largely based on provincial EQAO testing.

The school was founded in 1994 with the support of the Windsor Islamic Association. However, now it’s a standalone, non-profit institution that gets by mainly on tuition fees.

The tuition for the school is $320 per month.

The Janette Ave. school, which offers an Islamic component as well as following the Ontario school curriculum, has 253 students from junior kindergarten to Grade 8.

The school is providing exceptional education to its Muslim students. The school offers an Islamic component as well as following the Ontario school curriculum, has 253 students from junior kindergarten to Grade 8. Students and staff come from an array of ethnic and cultural backgrounds They have special education students. They introduce more technology, using smaller reading groups to allow teachers to really focus in on students having trouble with literacy and the Collaborative Inquiry for Learning

Graduate students will have excellent education which they will in return contribute in a better generation which can provide and build educated and healthy societies
